Mayur Prasad Teak Wood Pooja Mandir | Peacock Crown Temple | Saharanpur Handmade | TIMBERCRAFTIN
The Royal Peacock Palace — A Temple Fit for Krishna Himself
In Indian mythology, the peacock is the most sacred of birds — its feathers adorn Lord Krishna's crown, its dance heralds the divine monsoon, its presence brings prosperity and grace. The Mayur Prasad by TIMBERCRAFTIN is built around this sacred symbol — a home temple of extraordinary beauty and royal bearing.
A Crown Like No Other
At the very top of the Mayur Prasad, a magnificent peacock spreads its wings in full glory — hand-carved in solid teak, every feather shaped by a master artisan's chisel. Four round ball finials mark the corners like sentinels. Below, a sweeping scrollwork cornice of acanthus leaves and floral vines frames the temple crown.
The scalloped toran arch — intricately detailed — hangs like a garland of devotion over the open shrine space. On either side, lion and yali capitals crown the four tall reeded columns, a motif drawn straight from India's ancient temple architecture. A rope twist border runs along the platform edge — a signature touch of Saharanpur craftsmanship.
At the base, two large drawers with heavy floral carving and round knobs store all your puja essentials. Cabriole claw feet ground the entire temple with carved elegance.
