Dwaar Mandir Teak Wood Pooja Cabinet | Double Door Temple | Brass Bells | Saharanpur Handmade | TIMBERCRAFTIN
When the Doors Open — The Divine Awaits
In every temple in India, it is the opening of the doors that marks the beginning of darshan. The deity is revealed. The bells ring. The sacred moment begins.
The Dwaar Mandir by TIMBERCRAFTIN brings this ancient ritual into your home — a fully enclosed cabinet-style mandir where your deity rests in complete privacy, and every prayer begins with the sacred act of opening the doors.
Sacred Symbols on Every Surface
The double doors of the Dwaar Mandir carry the most auspicious symbols of Hinduism — the Om (ॐ) and the Swastik (卐) — hand-carved with deep relief into solid teak. The Dharma Chakra and floral motifs complete the door panels. Six brass bells hang from the doors — announcing your arrival before the divine, just as in every real temple across India.
A Crown Fit for a Palace
The dome crown of the Dwaar Mandir is unlike any other in our collection. A large round dome with diamond lattice carving rises above four corner acorn finials — a design drawn directly from the architecture of India's royal mandirs. Below, a heavy floral scrollwork cornice frames the top. Rope twist borders run throughout the entire temple. Diamond jaali panels on both sides allow light and air while maintaining the enclosed sacred feel. The carved brick pattern base platform grounds the entire piece with temple-like weight and solidity.
